PR Hoffman Machines
PR Hoffman’s PR1 is a compact lapping machine designed specifically for small parts and versatile applications.
The last two images showcase my currently refurbished PR1 units. Apart from the castings and frame, every component has been replaced with new parts.
PR1 Options
PR1 Updated Controls
This upgrade features a Touch Screen and PLC, a two-stage lift, a Sony probe, and a servo motor on the drive for enhanced control. This option allows for storing recipes, which can include up to 5 steps. The Sony probe, motor speed, and pump are all integrated into the recipe.
PR1 Slurry System
The slurry system includes a tank and mixer mounted on a compact cart. If the machine features PLC control, the tank level is displayed on the screen, providing a warning when the level falls below a user-defined threshold.
PR1 Two Motor
In this configuration, the ring and sun gear are driven separately.
